Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Being Adapted for Apple

Apple has ordered the original drama Foundation, based on Isaac Asimov’s book of the same name, from Skydance Television.

The series will be executive produced by David S. Goyer (The Dark Night, Batman Begins) and Josh Friedman (Avatar 4, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). Both Goyer and Friedman will serve as showrunners for the series.

The sci-fi series chronicles the thousand year saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.
