House of the Dragon Season Three Begins Production

Production has begun on the third season of HBO’s House of the Dragon, with Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy, Power Book IV: Force) and Dan Fogler (The Walking Dead, Fantastic Beasts) joining the cast.

Flanagan and Fogler join the previously announced third season addition James Norton (Happy Valley, Grantchester). Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint and Rhys Ifans are among the returning cast.

Other cast members reprising their roles for season three are Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin and Abubakar Salim.

The directors for the new season are Clare Kilner, Nina Lopez-Corrado, Andrij Parekh and Loni Peristere. Ryan Condal and George R.R. Martin are co-creators and executive producers. Condal also serves as showrunner.

Other executive producers are Sara Hess, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Vince Gerardis, David Hancock and Philippa Goslett.

The eight-episode third season is in production in the U.K.
