Hera Pictures (The End We Start From, Mary & George) has expanded its team with the hiring of Emma Fowler as head of production and Charlotte Webber as executive producer.

Fowler joins from Channel 4, where she headed up the production finance team across scripted drama and comedy. Webber joins from Mammoth Screen, where she acted as script editor on World on Fire and The Pale Horse before producing the final season of Endeavour.

Fowler’s credits at Channel 4 include It’s a Sin, The Undeclared War and Derry Girls. Prior to that, she worked at both Sky and the BBC, working on series such as Riviera, The Tunnel and Fortitude.

Prior to joining Mammoth Screen, Webber spent her early career in a PA role at BBC Studios before moving on to script edit season one of Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens.

At Hera Pictures, Fowler and Webber will help manage the forthcoming productions across television and film, working closely with Liza Marshall, founder and managing director, as well as Rob Harper, finance director; Ron O’Berst, executive producer; Bria Thomas, development producer; and Arran Shargall, development producer.

“I am thrilled and delighted to be joining Liza Marshall and her brilliant team at Hera Pictures at such an incredibly exciting time for the company,” Webber said. “I am full of admiration for Liza and her vision for the future of Hera, and it is a privilege to be invited to contribute to a slate that is already jam packed with diverse and inspiring projects. I cannot wait to get started.”

Fowler commented, “I am thrilled to be joining Liza and her dynamic, talented and creative team at such an exciting time for Hera Pictures. I can’t wait to get started working with a range of talented writers, directors and producers on such an impressive slate of ambitious projects.”

“Charlotte and Emma are both brilliant in their respective fields,” Marshall added. “They bring years of experience and will be an invaluable addition to the Hera team as we enter an extremely busy period of growth. We are very lucky and excited to have them!”
