Gossip Girl Reboot in the Works for HBO Max

The CW drama Gossip Girl is being rebooted for WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service, HBO Max.

Based upon the book by Cecily von Ziegesar, the series ran on The CW from 2007 to 2012, revolving around a group of wealthy teens in New York City. The ten-part reboot is being produced by Fake Empire and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, focusing on a new generation of private school students in Manhattan.

Original creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Fake Empire will serve as executive producers alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo of Alloy Entertainment.
