Globo’s medieval drama God Save the King is set to air across the Middle East and North Africa following a pickup by MBC Group.

God Save the King follows two brothers who are princes but do not want the throne. One is scared of becoming the king, and the other renounces the crown for the love of a commoner.

The so-called “super production” is written by Daniel Adjafre and directed by Fabrício Mamberti.

In Africa, Globo licensed the telenovela The Other Side of Paradise to STV. The novela is scheduled to premiere in March in Mozambique in a prime-time slot. It was created by Walcyr Carrasco, winner of an International Emmy Award for Hidden Truths.
