AUSTIN: Robert Kirkman’s new drama Outcast is set for a global premiere on FOX networks in more than 125 countries, and the show has already been given a second-season pickup.

Developed and produced by FOX International Studios, Outcast will launch its ten-episode season starting June 3, exclusively on FOX channels in 125-plus countries outside the U.S. In the U.S., Outcast was picked up by Cinemax as an original series. Cinemax has ordered the show for a second season already.

Outcast was created and executive produced by Kirkman (The Walking Dead), and executive produced by showrunner Chris Black, David Alpert, Sharon Tal Yguado and Sue Naegle. The show is based on the Skybound/Image comic title by Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta.

“It’s been an incredible ride watching Outcast come to life from an idea, to a comic and now to a television series that is going to be seen across the globe through our partners at FOX,” said Kirkman. “Having Outcast find the same international home as The Walking Dead, and having it launch day and date with the U.S., just like The Walking Dead did six years ago, is surreal. I hope international fans enjoy the world of Outcast, and hopefully, are a little bit scared of it too.”
