FOX has ordered to series the one-hour drama The Big Leap, inspired by a U.K. reality format, for next season.

From 20th Television and FOX Entertainment, the dramedy is about a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters attempting to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of Swan Lake. The show features themes of self-acceptance, body positivity and empowerment at any age.

Liz Heldens is executive producer and writer, and Jason Winer is director and executive producer, with Sue Naegle also serving as an EP.

The cast includes Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Ser’Darius Blain, Jon Rudnitsky, Raymond Cham Jr., Mallory Jansen and Kevin Daniels, with Piper Perabo and Teri Polo.
