Fear the Walking Dead Heads Back into Production

NEW YORK: The sophomore season of Fear the Walking Dead, a companion show to AMC's hit horror series The Walking Dead, has begun production in Baja, Mexico, for broadcast next year.

Fear the Walking Dead takes place during the beginning of the zombie apocalypse that is featured in The Walking Dead. The show stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Ruben Blades, Mercedes Mason, Lorenzo James Henrie and Colman Domingo. The 15-episode new season is due to debut on AMC in spring 2016. It will air on AMC Global in more than 115 territories around the world within 24 hours of the U.S. premiere.

Dave Erickson, showrunner and executive producer, commented: "We are thrilled to be starting production and even more thrilled to be shooting in Mexico. Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the Fear saga. We couldn't be happier."
