LOS ANGELES: Colony, which comes from executive producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan Condal (Hercules), has been licensed by Legendary Television to France's TF1.

Set in the very near future, Colony centers on one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles. Josh Holloway (Lost) stars in the series as former FBI agent Will Bowman and Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead) stars as his wife, Katie. Colony's ten-episode first season will premiere on USA Network on January 14, 2016.

TF1’s head of programming, Fabrice Bailly, commented, “The acquisition of Colony enhances our offering of U.S. series. This headlining action-adventure story matches perfectly with our current lineup. We’re confident that viewers will enjoy this gripping drama created by talented producers and a brilliant cast.”

John McMahon, the executive VP and managing director for EMEA distribution at Legendary Television, remarked, “We are excited that TF1 will be the French home for Colony. TF1 was the French viewing destination for Lost, which Carlton Cuse also executive produced, and we anticipate that Colony similarly will bring TF1 many years of ratings success.”
