Eccho Rights has taken on distribution for the Sürec Film-produced drama series Sisterhood (Sevgili Geçmiş).

In Sisterhood, a woman named Ipek is finalizing her wedding plans when she learns that she has two sisters she never knew, leading to a reunion at her wedding. After the party, Ipek’s new husband loses control and suffers a fatal blow in a scuffle with the sisters, who are now bonded by a murder cover up.

Sisterhood, which is being represented internationally by Eccho Rights, is slated to premiere on Star TV in Turkey in November. It is the second title that Sürec Film and Eccho Rights are partnering on this season, as the distributor is also set to launch North Star  (Kuzey Yildizi) at MIPCOM.

Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights, said: “We are convinced that Sisterhood will be one of the biggest hits this season and are proud and excited to represent yet another one of Sürec’s remarkable projects.”

Ali Gundogdu, CEO of Sürec Film, added: “We look forward to the launch of our newest series and are convinced it will win over audiences not only in Turkey but all over the world with its emotional and gripping story and impressive performances.”
