Eccho Rights Brings Behind the Veil to Market

Eccho Rights has picked up the distribution rights to Behind the Veil, a new Turkish drama from Kanal 7 and Film Yapım Merkezi.

The series tells the story of a young woman who marries a wealthy bachelor in order to save her sick brother and get him the treatment he needs. The bachelor has his own demanding family to satisfy, though, and their convenience marriage turns into something more.

Behind the Veil is the latest Kanal 7 title to be represented by Eccho Rights, whose slate also includes Elif, The Promise, Legacy, Redemption and Winds of Love.

“To bring this new title to the market in partnership with Kanal 7 is an exciting step for us, having enjoyed such mutual success with their original productions over the past decade,” said Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights. “Behind the Veil is another example of a commission that understands the demands of a global audience but brings a unique take on telling that classic, romantic story.”
