Banijay UK label Double Dutch has appointed Myar Craig-Brown as creative director, a newly created role.

Craig-Brown will build on and drive forward the Double Dutch slate in line with the company’s focus on original, character-led, returning series. She joins from Gaumont UK, where she was creative director.

Craig-Brown will report directly to Managing Director Iona Vrolyk and will be supported by Alesya Capelle, who has recently been promoted to development producer.

Vrolyk said: “I am thrilled that Myar is joining Double Dutch. Her passion for storytelling, her commitment to supporting writers new and established alike and her sparkling creative energy make her the perfect appointment.”

Craig-Brown added: “I’m really excited to be joining Iona and Alesya at Double Dutch. Being of mixed heritage, I am passionate about nurturing East Asian voices in mainstream scripted television, and with a number of development projects underway, and a range of other ideas starting to take shape, it’s a very exciting time for the company.”
