Disney+ Slates Spanish Comedy-Drama Shared Custody

Disney+ has slated the debut of its new original Spanish comedy-drama Shared Custody, which marks Champions maker Javier Fesser’s first TV directing role, for January 24.

The eight-episode series follows the fallout of parents Cris and Diego’s separation. Though their intention is to be mature, responsible and friendly adults for the sake of their 5-year-old daughter, they can’t afford to live alone and take care of her, so both are forced to move back to their respective parents’ homes.

The cast features Lorena López (Past Lies), Ricard Farré (Good Manners), Adriana Ozores (Los pequeños amores, Invisibles), Francesc Orella (Merlí, Santa Evita), Aten Soria (Venus), Fernando Sansegundo (Historias lamentables), Lucía de Gracia and Clara de Ramón.

The series is created in collaboration with Fremantle-backed producer The Immigrant (No One Will Miss Us, Adolfo). It is written and created by Juanjo Moscardó Rius (A Shitty Therapy, Amor en polvo) and María Mínguez (Vivir dos Veces, Amor en polvo).
