Devils’ Nick Hurran & Jan Maria Michelini

Devils is based on the book of the same name by Guido Maria Brera, and the series was directed by Jan Maria Michelini and Nick Hurran, who also served as showrunner. The two tell TV Drama‘s Mansha Daswani how they managed to make the world of finance so approachable and about the new opportunities that abound in the international drama landscape.

A fast-paced thriller from Sky Italia and Lux Vide, Devils is set in the world of finance and boasts an international cast led by Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy), who stars as Dominic Morgan, the American CEO of a global bank and one of the most powerful—and most conniving—men in finance. Morgan mentors Massimo Ruggero, played by Alessandro Borghi (Netflix’s Suburra), a successful Italian investment banker who learns of his advisor’s dirty dealings and must decide where his loyalties lie. As a scandal involving his drug-addicted wife (Kasia Smutniak, Loro) unfolds, Ruggero finds himself framed for the murder of one of his colleagues and his life begins to spiral out of control.
