Crime Scene (Tatort) Heads to U.S. & Canada with MHz Choice

Beta Film and WDR have inked a deal for titles totaling 250 hours from the Crime Scene (Tatort) franchise to come to the U.S. and Canada via MHz Choice.

This includes Cologne Cops (Tatort: Köln), Crime Will Tell (Tatort: Münster), Mind Witness (Tatort: Dortmund), Grim City (Tatort: Duisburg) and A Duo to Die For (Tatort: Bremen).

Crime Scene has been a key part of German television for over five decades, consistently holding record ratings with a peak of up to 41 percent market share and more than 14 million viewers on German public broadcaster ARD to this day. The series’ format sees different teams of investigators in various German cities investigate a range of crimes.

WDR mediagroup handles the license rights to Crime Scene, while Beta Film holds the international distribution rights to the catalog of WDR’s commercial subsidiary.
