UKTV has acquired Clarice, a spin-off from Thomas Harris’s 1988 novel The Silence of the Lambs and its 1991 film adaptation, for its crime drama channel Alibi.

The drama takes a deep dive into the untold personal story of FBI Agent Clarice Starling as she returns to the field in 1993, one year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs. Set to debut on Alibi this December, the 13×1-hour series stars Rebecca Breeds (Pretty Little Liars) as Clarice.

Clarice was licensed for UKTV by Daniel Thomas, global acquisitions manager for UKTV and BBC Studios. The series is produced by MGM Television and CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout. It is executive produced and co-created by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet, with executive producers Heather Kadin and Elizabeth Klaviter.
