City of God Sequel Series Sets Debut

The HBO original series City of God: The Fight Rages On is set to bow on August 25.

Produced by O2 Filmes, the series will land on HBO Latino in the U.S. and stream globally on Max. The six-parter takes place two decades after the events of 2002’s award-winning City of God film.

The cast features familiar faces such as Alexandre Rodrigues, Roberta Rodrigues, Thiago Martins, Sabrina Rosa, Kiko Marques, Edson Oliveira, Andréia Horta and many more.

The series is written by Sérgio Machado, Renata Di Carmo, Armando Praça, Estevão Ribeiro, Rodrigo Felha and Aly Muritiba.
