Chris Evans Starring in New Apple Straight-to-Series Drama

Apple has ordered Defending Jacob, executive produced by and starring Captain America’s Chris Evans, based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name by William Landay.

Apple has given a straight-to-series order to the character-driven thriller. Defending Jacob is produced by Paramount Television and Anonymous Content and created, written and executive produced by Mark Bomback (Planet of the Apes trilogy), who will also serve as showrunner.

Rosalie Swedlin and Adam Shulman will executive produce for Anonymous Content and Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game, Counterpart, Jack Ryan) will executive produce and direct the series, alongside Evans as executive producer.
