Chloe Dan has been promoted to senior VP of drama development at Twentieth Century Fox Television, as Brandon Brito exits the post.

Dan joined the company in 2014 as VP of drama development and most recently developed The Gifted from Matt Nix and Bryan Singer in partnership with Marvel Television; The Resident from Amy Holden Jones and Antoine Fuqua; and Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi fantasy The Orville, directed by Jon Favreau. Last season, she oversaw the creation of Dan Fogelman’s This Is Us.

“Chloe is an extraordinarily gifted creative exec who has contributed mightily to our drama development over the past several years,” commented Michael Thorn, Twentieth Century Fox Television’s executive VP of development, to whom Dan will report. “While she had more than earned a promotion, we felt the time had come to channel her passion and skills into a leadership role at this company. We’re happy to announce that she will head our drama development team, effective immediately.”
