BritBox has teamed up with its parent company ITV to co-produce The Pembrokeshire Murders, a true-crime limited series starring Luke Evans (Fate of the Furious, Beauty and the Beast).

Centered on historic cold cases in Pembrokeshire, Wales, the series will explore the groundbreaking methods used by Detective Superintendent Steve Wilkins (Evans) and his team that set the standard for future cold case investigations. The Pembrokeshire Murders is based on Catching the Bullseye Killer, the factual account Wilkins wrote with ITV journalist Jonathan Hill.

The series is written by Nick Stevens (In Plain Sight) and executive produced by Simon Heath (Bodyguard, Line of Duty) at World Productions. BritBox is distributing the title in the U.S. and Canada.

BritBox President and CEO Soumya Sriraman said: “With a strong cast and suspenseful writing, The Pembrokeshire Murders is a perfect combination of classic crime drama and modern storytelling that is a perfect fit for BritBox.”
