BBC has acquired the American comedy-drama The Bold Type and the Australian series Bad Behaviour for BBC Three.

Starring Katie Stevens (Faking It), Aisha Dee (Safe Home) and Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus), The Bold Type follows the lives of three millennials who work in New York at a top women’s magazine. BBC Three will air all five seasons.

Bad Behaviour stars Jana McKinnon (We Children from Bahnhof Zoo) as a 25-year-old who bumps into her old high school friend and is flooded by memories of the brutal year they spent together at Silver Creek, the wilderness campus of an exclusive girls’ boarding school.

“We are delighted that these two series are joining our BBC Three and iPlayer lineup—they are very different in tone, but both feature characters that viewers will empathize and engage with as they deal with the complexities of life,” said Sue Deeks, head of program acquisition at BBC.
