BBC Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Waterloo Road

BBC is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Waterloo Road with a special broadcast of season one on BBC Three.

Beginning March 9, two episodes from the first season will air each week at 7 p.m. on the channel. The full series has been available on BBC iPlayer since September 2019, but the BBC Three run gives viewers the chance to watch the show on terrestrial TV.

Waterloo Road was first broadcast on the BBC between 2006 and 2015. It was revived in 2023.

The series was created by Ann McManus and Maureen Chadwick. It helped launch the careers of Christopher Chung, Jenna Coleman, Jodie Comer, Phoebe Dynevor, Holiday Grainger, Lucien Laviscount, Katie McGlynn, Jack McMullen, Regé-Jean Page and Tom Payne. Familiar faces such as Jack O’Connell, Louis Tomlinson and Matt Healy have made appearances as well.

Waterloo Road is a Rope Ladder Fiction and Wall to Wall North co-production for BBC iPlayer and BBC One.
