Apple TV+ has slated the premiere of The Buccaneers, inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton’s unfinished final novel, for November 8.

Led by an all-female creative team, the adaptation follows a group of wealthy young American girls as they explode into the London scene of the 1870s. Their arrival kicks off a culture clash, as their disregard for centuries of tradition throws off European aristocrats.

The main cast includes Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse and Mia Threapleton. Christina Hendricks, Josh Dylan, Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome and Barney Fishwick also star.

The Buccaneers adaptation is written by creator Katherine Jakeways and directed by Susanna White. It is produced by The Forge Entertainment.

The first three episodes are set to premiere around the world on November 8, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through December 13.
