All3Media International Secures Global Sales for The Assassin

All3Media International has secured deals across five continents with partners such as AMC Networks, HBO, Warner Bros. Discovery, BBC Studios and NBCUniversal for Two Brothers Pictures’ The Assassin.

In North America, AMC Networks’ streaming service AMC+ will premiere the series in the U.S. on November 20, while Canada’s Bella Media will bring the series to Crave and CTV Drama Channel. NBCUniversal LatAm, meanwhile, acquired pan-territory rights for The Assassin for Universal+.

Across EMEA, the six-part series has been licensed to public-service broadcasters such as DR (Denmark), SVT (Sweden), VRT (Flemish Belgium) and NPO (The Netherlands). It also landed deals with HBO Max in France, Mediaset in Spain and Italy, COSMOTE in Greece, HOT in Israel, Freedom Media in Kazakhstan and Evision in the Middle East.

The Assassin will be available on Sky Free in New Zealand, where it will air on Three and ThreeNow. A pan-territory deal was signed with BBC Studios, covering Asia and India, for BBC First and BBC Player. WOWOW in Japan and Sohu in China also picked up the series.

The drama, written and created by Harry and Jack Williams (The Tourist, Boat Story, The Missing) with Krissie Ducker (Killing Eve, Sweetpea), Hamish Wright (Significant Other) and Selina Lim (Sex Education), stars Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore as an estranged mother-and-son duo who must work together in a fight for survival.

The cast also features Gina Gershon (Riverdale, New Amsterdam), Shalom Brune-Franklin (The Tourist, Baby Reindeer), Jack Davenport (The Morning Show, Pirates of the Caribbean), Alan Dale (Dynasty, Lost), Gerald Kyd (The Swarm, The Split), Devon Terrell (Totally Completely Fine, Cursed), Richard Dormer (Blue Lights, Game of Thrones) and David Dencik (The Ipcress File, No Time To Die).
