All the Sins Renewed for Season Three

The Finnish drama series All the Sins, an Elisa Viihde original, is set to return for a third season.

The third season of All the Sins will take place about five years after the events of the first season. The forensic investigators Sanna Tervo (Maria Sid) and Lauri Räihä (Johannes Holopainen) from the National Bureau of Investigation return to Varjakka after a copycat murderer strikes in the village. They’re joined in the hunt for the murderer by local police officer Jussi Ritola (Matti Ristinen), who is haunted by his wife’s past deeds.

The new season will once again be produced by Ilkka Matila from MRP Matila Röhr Productions, in association with Sky Studios and Taska Film. The crime show is written by Venla Aakko and Mika Ronkainen, with Aakko directing. Filming on season three will predominantly take place in the Oulu region of Finland and will begin at the end of July, led by the production team largely involved in the previous seasons.

All the Sins has already been sold to more than 30 countries, including the U.K., the U.S., Germany, France and Spain. NBCUniversal Global Distribution manages international distribution of the series.

Ani Korpela, chief content officer at Elisa, said: “Elisa Viihde will continue to invest in Finnish drama, and we are delighted to be able to bring the third and much-anticipated new season to our service in late 2022. The series is one of the most popular original series on Elisa Viihde Viaplay. It has also been received well by international audiences and has increased interest towards Finnish drama.”

Jason Simms, director of international scripted at Sky Studios, said: “All the Sins is a powerful and gripping drama that has had viewers around the world hooked season after season. With a stellar cast and sublime locations, this third season promises to be even more compelling than the last.”
