Alibi Commissions Chris Lang Drama I, Jack Wright

UKTV’s Alibi has commissioned I, Jack Wright from Federation Stories, with Chris Lang (Unforgotten; The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe) as writer.

After powerful and successful businessman Jack Wright seemingly commits suicide, his family discovers they have been mostly cut out of his large fortune. Detectives soon realize that Jack was actually murdered. Dark secrets come to light as the investigation gets under way and each family member vies for a piece of Jack’s legacy.

Nikki Amuka-Bird (Citadel, Hard Sun), John Simm (Grace, Crime) and Gemma Jones (Gentleman Jack, Finding Alice) are set to star. The series will be directed by Tom Vaughan (Doctor Foster, The Flight Attendant) and produced by Nickie Sault (The Outlaws, The Virtues).

I, Jack Wright has already presold to Scandinavian public broadcasters Yle, DK, NRK and SRK. It is set to air in 2025.
