Apple TV+ has given an eight-episode series order for the conspiracy thriller Prime Target, starring Leo Woodall (The White Lotus, One Day) and Quintessa Swindell (Black Adam, In Treatment).

The show follows a young math postgraduate on the verge of finding a pattern that would give him a key to every computer in the world. He quickly realizes an unknown enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, and he is thrown into the orbit of an NSA agent tasked with watching and reporting on him.

Prime Target is being produced by New Regency with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free. It is created by Steve Thompson (Sherlock, Vienna Blood) and directed by Brady Hood (Top Boy, Great Expectations), who are both executive producers as well.

In addition to Woodall and Swindell, the cast includes Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), David Morrissey (Sherwood, The Walking Dead), Martha Plimpton (The Regime), Sidse Babbett Knudsen (Borgen), Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones), Ali Suliman (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Paradise Now), Fra Fee (Rebel Moon, Hawkeye) and Joseph Mydell (The Eternal Daughter).

Executive producers alongside Thompson and Hood are New Regency’s Ed Rubin, Beth Pattinson, Emma Broughton, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan and Michael Schaefer; Scott Free’s Marina Brackenbury, David W. Zucker and Ridley Scott; and series producer Laura Hastings-Smith.
