Shameless to Return for Season 8

LOS ANGELES: Shameless has been renewed by Showtime for a 12-episode eighth season.

The season seven finale aired Sunday night on Showtime, which revealed that the show’s current run was its highest rated to date. The series stars Oscar nominee and Emmy winner William H. Macy and Golden Globe nominee Emmy Rossum. Production on 12 new episodes will begin in 2017.
