Viu Debuts Vertical Video Section

Viu has expanded its content offering with the new vertical video section Viu Shorts, featuring curated micro-dramas in Chinese, Korean, Thai and Indonesian.

With these bite-sized dramas now part of our offering, we aim to engage our audience according to their content preferences and provide enjoyable viewing for every moment.”

The micro-dramas span a variety of genres, including romance, thriller, variety and fantasy.

The Viu Shorts section is available to all Viu users. Subscribers gain unlimited access to the full micro-drama library, and free users can watch selected content. Ads will vary by subscription tier.

Viu has collaborated with leading micro-drama distributors Rising Joy and KT Studiogenie, as well as producers such as China Huace, 1001 Frames and Youhug Media, to ensure a steady pipeline of content.

Featured titles at launch include Pear Perfect, The Most Painful Kiss in the World, My Husband Murdered Me and Becoming the Wife of a Dark Cult Overlord.
