Encounter & Gangnam Beauty Debut on ABS-CBN

Two Korean dramas, Encounter and Gangnam Beauty, are set to bow on ABS-CBN in the Philippines today, August 5.

Encounter and Gangnam Beauty will begin airing on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Primetime Bida and Kapamilya Gold time slots, respectively. Encounter sees the pairing of Park Bo-Gum and Song Hye-Kyo as they play Marco Kim and Pauline Cha, who meet and fall in love in Cuba.

The two believe that their encounter in Cuba was just a chance meeting, but will be surprised when they go back to Korea and their relationship grows deeper, with Kim eventually becoming Cha’s employer.

Meanwhile, Gangnam Beauty tackles the troubles of Im Soo Hyang as Mikka Kang, a timid girl who grew up with insecurities due to her features. She desires a normal life, forcing her to take an offer for plastic surgery. Unbeknownst to her, a schoolmate who she met at a bus stop, the boy genius Kenzo Do (Cha Eun Woo), has secretly grown fond of her and sees past the physical traits for the personality within her.
