Spanish Drama Cathedral of the Sea Lands in Ecuador

Endemol Shine International has clinched a new deal that brings the Spanish drama Cathedral of the Sea to Teleamazonas in Ecuador.

Based on the best-selling novel by Ildefonso Falcones, Cathedral of the Sea is an epic 8×1-hour series produced by Diagonal Televisió, part of Endemol Shine Iberia, for Atresmedia Televisión, Televisió de Catalunya and Netflix. The drama, known in Spanish as La Catedral del Mar, is set in 14-century Barcelona.

Cathy Payne, chief executive of Endemol Shine International, commented, “Cathedral of the Sea is an excellent adaptation of the popular novel and with a gripping story paired with cinematic filming, this epic Spanish tale will be a sure-fire hit for Teleamazonas Ecuador.”
