Starz Originals for shomi Canada

TORONTO: Starz Digital Media has inked a deal that makes shomi the exclusive Canadian SVOD home to a number of original series from the premium channel operator, including Da Vinci's Demons and The White Queen.

The platform will be available to Rogers and Shaw customers for a monthly fee beginning in November. The Starz content will be available on shomi in its second window. Users will be able to access past seasons of Power, Black Sails, Da Vinci's Demons and The White Queen, among others. The platform will also deliver library Starz originals like Spartacus and Party Down, plus the kids' series Dan Vs from Starz's animation company, Film Roman.

"shomi has created a supreme subscription on-demand service for consumers and we're thrilled that we will be able to bring the exclusive streaming rights to many of our Starz originals and provide access to a deep library of lots of other animated and other licensed Starz content."
