TORONTO: Daniel Dales and Jarrett Sherman, co-founders of Smokebomb Entertainment, are leaving the company, leading to a pair of new appointments within the management team.

Jay Bennett, who joined Smokebomb in 2008 as creative director, has been elevated to VP. He will continue to produce the company’s slate of digital projects. Veronica Heringer is a new hire, joining in the role of transmedia strategist. She will report directly to Bennett. Christina Jennings, the chairman and CEO of Shaftesbury, continues to oversee Smokebomb.

"Daniel and Jarrett have helped build Shaftesbury’s strength in the digital space, and they leave behind a great team,” said Jennings. “We wish them all the best and are confident we will find new projects to collaborate on in the future. Our digital business remains a priority for the company, and we will continue to expand our innovation footprint with groundbreaking multiplatform content under the direction of Jay and his team.”

“It’s been an incredible ride and we’ve been able to produce some extraordinary projects over the last four years,” added Dales. “We’re proud of the legacy we leave behind and are confident that Smokebomb will enjoy continued success under Christina’s leadership.”
