shomi Lands Canadian Streaming Rights for Outlander

TORONTO: shomi has acquired the exclusive Canadian SVOD rights for the series Outlander from Sony Pictures Television (SPT), joining a lineup that includes The Blacklist, Marry Me, Helix, Drop Dead Diva and Justified.

Viewers can watch the first eight episodes of Outlander on shomi before the series returns for its mid-season premiere April 5 on Showcase. Members can also binge-watch the first season of The Blacklist, available now on shomi, before the series returns for its season two mid-season premiere February 1 on Global. The Blacklist moves to its regular Thursday night time slot beginning February 5. Movies from the SPT catalogue available on shomi include The Amazing Spider-Man, Eat Pray Love, 21 Jump Street, Moneyball, The Social Network and more. shomi has also become the Canadian SVOD home for acclaimed miniseries, including Bonnie & Clyde and Hatfield and McCoys.
