Peacock Alley Sets Up Distribution Division

TORONTO: Peacock Alley has established a distribution arm, hiring Craig McGillivray to run the unit as VP of distribution.

McGillivray was formerly a territory manager at DHX Media, and also worked at Breakthrough Entertainment in a regional sales role. He will now be leading Peacock Alley’s foray into becoming a bespoke distributor.

Carrie Mudd, the president of Peacock Alley, commented: “We’re heading into BANFF as a bespoke distributor looking for like-minded creative partners. In a fiercely competitive market producers and broadcasters must rely on new models that include financing through distribution advances, presales and partnerships in order to get shows made.
