New Metric Media Bolsters Executive Team

New Metric Media has bolstered its executive team with new hires, including Bell Media alum Jeff Hersh as chief operating officer.

Hersh, previously VP of strategy, OTT distribution and premium SVOD at Bell Media, will focus on corporate strategy and driving strategic growth via acquisitions, partnerships and raising capital, as well as further monetization across all lines of business.

At Bell Media, Hersh was responsible for formulating and executing the strategy and business development, as well as the strategy and expansion of the company’s OTT and direct-to-consumer opportunities, including Crave and STARZ.

New Metric Media has also appointed Bill Lundy (Run the Burbs), formerly of Pier 21 Films and Bell Media, as senior VP of comedy. He will focus on broadening and strengthening the company’s slate of comedy brands and roster of talent across scripted, sketch and stand-up.

Lundy was most recently senior VP of Pier 21 Films, leading its comedy and drama scripted slates. Prior to that, he was production executive of comedy at Bell Media, developing and producing shows such as Letterkenny, The Beaverton and Just for Laughs: All Access.

Both Hersh and Lundy report to Mark Montefiore, founder and CEO of New Metric Media.

In addition, WildBrain Co-Founder Steven DeNure continues to serve as strategic adviser.
