Neshama Entertainment Appoints New VP of Production

Canadian production house Neshama Entertainment has tapped Suzanne Berger for the newly created role of VP of production.

Berger, a 20-year production veteran, will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Toronto, and her new responsibilities will include driving the production of content originating in Canada, as well as Canadian co-production partnerships. She is currently spearheading a slate of 27 projects in development and nine in production, including MarVista co-productions Merry Hannukah and Christmas Crush.

Prior to joining Neshama, Berger worked at Halfire Entertainment, serving as supervising producer on Another Life for Netflix, as well as Aftermath, a drama for SYFY and Space that stars Anne Heche (Men in Trees). With her own production company, Rosetta Media, Berger produced The Pinkertons and Spotless.

She also previously held the role VP of production at Entertainment One Television, supervising the production of all formats of television with a focus on movies of the week (MOWs) and scripted one-hour dramas. Berger is also an experienced producer of long-form drama, overseeing MOWs such as Hallmark Hall of Fame biopic When Love is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story starring Winona Ryder and Barry Pepper, as well as Playing House, Gospel of Deceit, Cradle of Lies, Absolution and Intimate Stranger.
