Global’s 2023-24 Prime-Time Lineup Maximizes Simulcast Hours

Global has revealed its 2023-24 broadcast slate, which features 17 hours of simulcast programming in prime time across network TV, STACKTV and the Global TV app.

The 2023-24 offering is led by the new procedural drama Matlock, starring Oscar winner Kathy Bates in the titular role. That series is joined by Elsbeth, starring Carrie Preston and based on and named after the character from The Good Wife and The Good Fight.

Also new to Global in the coming year are Doc, based on an Italian format, and the comedy Poppa’s House, starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr.

The fall schedule also includes the return of Survivor for its 45th season, which will feature 90-minute episodes each week. Joining the lineup is Robyn Hood, a contemporary reimagining of the Robin Hood legend from Director X.

The 2023-24 season features a strong returning slate as well, with So Help Me Todd, Fire Country, Abbott Elementary, Ghosts, FBI and NCIS coming back with new season.

“Global’s fall schedule is full of fresh premium content and top performing reality series, delivering audiences a strong schedule supported by TV’s biggest hits,” said Troy Reeb, executive VP of broadcast networks at Corus Entertainment. “By maximizing simulcast hours, and continuing to engage Canadians with a wide range of genres—from laugh-out-loud comedies, edge of your seat procedurals, and appointment-viewing reality—Global is poised to build on last fall’s string of top-rated series across prime time.”
