The Canada Media Fund (CMF) is making available C$10 million ($7.6 million) to Canada’s interactive digital media (IDM) companies.

This is part of the C$27.8 million in funding that was designated for Canada’s audiovisual sector as part of phase two of the COVID-19 Emergency Support Fund for Cultural, Heritage and Sport Organizations by the Government of Canada. The funding is being made available to applicants who have not previously received COVID-19 Emergency Relief Funds from the CMF Allocation and who meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligible applicants will receive between C$5,000 and C$100,000, to be determined through a formula-based approach. The program will open August 31 and the deadline to apply is September 25.
