Citytv Launches Canadian Family’s Got Talent Contest

Citytv has kicked off Canadian Family’s Got Talent, a month-long talent contest with thousands in cash and prizes.

Rolling out ahead of the return of America’s Got Talent in Canada on Citytv and Citytv NOW, the contest invites Canadians to showcase their talents alongside their families, closest companions or support networks from a distance for their chance to win from the comfort of their own living rooms. Select Canadian Family’s Got Talent entries will be featured on the expanded national hour of Breakfast Television starting May 1 and posted for online voting on May 14.

The contest will see the winner crowned live on Breakfast Television Canada by Simon Cowell on Tuesday, May 26. Cowell will be joined by hosts Dina Pugliese and Devo Brown.

Cowell said: “When I heard about this idea, I thought it was brilliant. In every country in the world there’s always undiscovered talent, and I’m certain there’s plenty to be found in Canada. I can’t wait. This should be a lot of fun.”
