TORONTO: The gangster series Peaky Blinders is due out on the Canadian streaming service shomi later this month.

The six-part title will launch on the site June 26. Starring Cillian Murphy (Inception) and Sam Neill (Jurassic Park), the series was produced by Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions, with Endemol Shine International handling global distribution. Its story is set in the lawless slums of 1919 post-war Birmingham in the U.K., where gangsters wore razor blades sewn into the peaks of their hats.

Currently available in beta to Rogers and Shaw internet or cable customers, shomi is set to be released across Canada sometime this summer.
