TORONTO: Bristow Global Media (BGM) has appointed leading live and event broadcast exec Claire Adams as the company's head of content, a newly created post.

Adams has made a name for herself as one of Canada's most in-demand television production executives for live event programming, talent acquisition and strategy. She has organized and supervised the teams for a number of top awards shows in the country, including the Canadian Country Music Awards, Scotiabank Giller Prize and The Genies, to name a few.

Earlier in her career, Adams was a talent strategy and development exec for MTV/Viacom and Don Weiner Enterprises. She most recently served as executive producer and showrunner of NHL Revealed for NBC Sports, NHL Network, Rogers Sportsnet, CBC and iTunes.

"Claire's unparalleled experience as a production executive in live and event programming, in addition to her extensive network and ability to work with top brands on engagement for broadcast and emergent media, is the sort of innovative thinking that will continue to build precedent-setting content for BGM," said Julie Bristow, the president of BGM. "She has already begun to redefine the way brand activations take place on screen and I look forward to working with Claire as we shape the future of BGM."
