Blue Ant & Mondo Developing Prime-Time Animated Shorts Series

TORONTO, October 11: Blue Ant Media and Mondo Media have teamed up with Corus Entertainment to air a new prime-time animated comedy series, a compilation of shorts from the Bite On Mondo digital program.

The 26×30-minute show is due out on the prime-time programming block TELETOON at Night, which airs on Corus Entertainment’s TELETOON, in 2016. Blue Ant and Mondo worked with YouTube to launch Bite On Mondo last fall, an initiative to discover, foster and produce animated content is made possible in part by the Canadian Media Fund. The program has received more than 500 pitch submissions since then, with the next deadline scheduled for November 15.

To date, the program has developed 25 original animated pilots, including World Doctors and Don’t Feed the Humans. Blue Ant will be representing Bite On Mondo content at MIPCOM for international distribution.
