Matt Shewchuk, executive producer on Rust Valley Restorers, has set up Big Time Decent Productions, a new company in Vancouver, Canada, to make unscripted and scripted series, feature films and digital content.

The new venture has several projects in development with Corus Entertainment. It has tapped Pricilla Hui to run business affairs and René Brar as its head of development.

The company is already at work on Backroad Truckers with Mayhem Entertainment for launch on HISTORY in Canada in the winter of 2021. It also has a development deal with showrunner Tommy Blacha (Metalocalypse) for a new half-hour animated comedy series, among other strategic partnerships.

“Big Time Decent Productions was created to tell big stories and push the envelope of new media,” said Shewchuk, founder and head of production. “We have 6,000 square feet of production and post facilities, and a team of talented producers all driven by the same passion—creating original content for a global audience.”
