AMSTERDAM: Former GroupM executive Eric Snelleman has joined Zoomin.TV as global head of agencies and managing director of Asia.

Snelleman previously served as head of digital trading at media-investment company GroupM. The new role will see the exec lead Zoomin.TV’s 2016 expansion into Asia.

Zoomin.TV is an independent producer of internet television and a video-advertising network operator on all new media. In July, Sweden-based MTG acquired a 51 percent stake in the company.

“Eric will focus on building strong relationships and exploring new business models with media (advertising) and content agencies around the globe,” said Zoomin.TV CEO Jan Riemens. “Zoomin.TV already has a strong presence in Europe, the U.S. and Latin America and has big ambitions to expand its network further into emerging markets.”

“Eric has a deep understanding of the wants and needs of the agency world and will help Zoomin.TV to grow [its] relationship[s] with the agencies beyond the level of a trusted partner,” added Bram Bloemberg, Zoomin.TV’s COO and co-founder. “The future of media will be on the crossroads of data, technology and content, and Zoomin.TV has all the capabilities to be a key partner for the agencies in this fast-changing environment.”
