Vision New Media has elevated Min Lim to the newly created role of group CEO.

Currently head of production at Double Vision, Lim now takes full responsibility for all content creation and distribution activities, plus the extensive postproduction, dubbing and subtitling services housed within the wider group. Lim joined Double Vision in 2014 and rose to become head of production in 2016.

In her new role, Lim also now takes control of Square Box Pictures, the group’s theatrical distribution arm, as well as long-standing television distributor Vision Plus Entertainment. Her expanded remit also includes overseeing the group’s joint venture Landmark Films.

Vision New Media Chairman Beng Teck Lim, to whom she will report, commented: “With a rare mix of creative and commercial talent, coupled with a driving ambition to make Vison New Media even more international than ever before, Min has proved herself invaluable to the business, so I am delighted that she has accepted the role of CEO. Our group of companies is working ever more closely together, sharing ideas, resources, and clients, so it makes total sense to create this new role and use Min’s talents, industry knowledge and extensive network of relationships to fully capitalize on and exploit business synergies as we continue to grow.”

Lim added: “I am both excited and proud to step into the role of group CEO. Vision New Media is such a unique company—it is dynamic and yet so deeply rooted in our industry, being the first company of its kind in Malaysia. I relish the chance to now drive it forward, bringing each of the businesses closer together to evolve our footprint and reputation still further. I feel there is great opportunity all around: with the significant and growing international interest in Asian content, I hope I can also use my new position to help make the industry look more widely and beyond the more obvious markets of Korea and Japan to realize that Southeast Asia is also a growing entertainment powerhouse, with a lot to offer.”

Poh Lin Ho, who has been with Vision Plus Entertainment for nearly 40 years, latterly as its CEO, is stepping down from the business.

Beng Teck Lim said: “Given that it is an especially exciting time for us now at Vision New Media, I am sad that we are parting ways with Poh Lin, who has been such an integral part of the business for almost four decades. Her contribution has been immense, and she will always remain a part of us as she embarks on the next steps of her journey. We extend our heartfelt thanks for everything she’s done and wish her every success in her future endeavors.”
