StarHub Expands HD, On-Demand Offerings

SINGAPORE: Cable platform StarHub is set to roll out five new on-demand services, delivering programming from the National Geographic Channel, STAR World, FOX Crime, FOX and FX brands in Asia.

As of November 9, StarHub customers will have access to National Geographic Play, STAR World Play, FOXCRIME Play, FOX Play and FX Play, on-demand complements to linear channels already carried by the operator. The on-demand channels will be offered for free to StarHub customers who already receive the linear channels. The platform is also adding KBS World HD to its offerings, bringing the number of HD channels on StarHub TV to 29.

“We are always looking to broaden our viewers’ entertainment options through our offerings," said Iris Wee, VP of home solutions and content at StarHub. "The introduction of these five on-demand channels will empower our customers to dictate their viewing schedules while the addition of KBS World HD offers viewers an additional option to catch their favorite Korean entertainment programming in crystal-clear picture clarity."
