Singapore Delegation Announces MIPCOM Deals

SINGAPORE: The delegation led by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) announced a host of deals at the market last week, where it was showcasing more than 300 hours of factual, drama and animation content.

There were 20 companies participating under the MDA banner, an 18-percent rise on the year-ago period. Participants included Bomanbridge Media Singapore, which signed a deal with Intervisio for a Finnish version of Angel’s Gate. Monstrou Studio Singapore inked a $5-million animation co-pro pact for the Spanish animated series Nightbreeds. August Media Holdings is working with Norway’s Kool Produktion on the second season of Ella Bella Bingo. In addition to the co-pro pact, August Rights will handle international sales for seasons one and two, with Kool Produktion responsible for all Scandinavian rights. Zodiak Kids’ U.K. production outfit The Foundation is developing three animated series with One Animation.
