Ricky Ow, president of WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks & Sales across the Asia Pacific, has been reappointed as the chairman of the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) for 2020.

This marks the third consecutive year for Ow in this honorary role.

“I am honored to accept the invitation from AAA to chair the Awards once again,” Ow said. “Since they began in 2018, the Awards have gained the stature and respect of the Asian broadcast industry, setting the standard in recognizing storytelling and creative achievement.”

He added: “During these extraordinary times, we need to support our own industry more than ever. Despite the challenges, I have no doubt that the benchmark will be set even higher and look forward to seeing the very best work from the very best talent from around the region.”

AAA President Michael McKay said: “As an industry, we all find ourselves in an especially unique and challenging environment so, for Mr. Ow to serve as our 2020 Chairman, provides great continuity and assurance and I’d like to express my gratitude for his ongoing support at this time.”

Entries for the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards are currently open across the 40 categories. The Grand Awards and Gala Final are set down for December 3 and 4 in Singapore. Around 300 industry judges from around the world serve on the AAA’s Jury.
