Reliance/RTL Channel in India Adds English-Language Feed

MUMBAI: BIG RTL Thrill, the entertainment channel operated in India as a joint venture of Reliance Broadcast Network and RTL Group, will add an English-language feed alongside its Hindi-language feed this week.

Beginning June 12, the channel, which targets men aged 15 to 44, with have dual Hindi and English feeds in key markets such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Content on BIG RTL Thrill includes Fear Factor U.S., Hole in the Wall, Wipeout, Distraction and Battle of the Bods.

“With this latest development we intend to emulate the same success which we have achieved in Hindi-speaking markets," said Sunil Kumaran, business head for regional TV at Reliance Broadcast Network. "We have chosen the content as per our viewers’ penchants and preferences and are confident it will work.
